It's a special 'Make-Up Friday' today in celebration of Kristens birthday! Last week a poll was put up on this blog for you to vote for which make up look you want to see on this blog. There was well over 200 votes and 75% of you wanted to see the EW photoshoot from summer 2009. In addition to this the Allure 2009 photoshoot look will also be posted today. I loved both the looks, they both really highlighted Kristens beautiful eyes in my opinion.
As usual a huge thank you to @kstewmakeup for filming these videos every week for us and writing the how-tos. This special was her idea so head over to Twitter and give her some love, shes a member of this blog and she works hard on her videos every week (hearts her). This is her baby so if you have any questions or requests hit her up on twitter, her follow button is on the sidebar.
NOTE: For tutorials you do not need the exact make up @kstewmakeup uses, similar colours from any brand you feel comfortable using will do.

Things you will need Aapri Exfoliating Facial Cleansing Pillows: http://www.aapri.co.uk/pages/pillows.html Nivea Visage Natural beauty radiance booster moisturiser UD Complexion Primer Potion: Brightening L’Oreal True Match Foundation: N1 Rimmel London Professional Eye Brow Pencil: 001 Dark Brown Rimmel London Stay Matte Pressed Powder: 003 Peach Glow UD Eye shadow Primer Potion UD Shadows: Smog, Sin, Polyester Bride & Oil Slick Rimmel London Colour Rush Trio Eye Shadow: 621 Orion Bourjois Paris Liner Stylo: 41 Noir Maxfactor False Lash Effect Mascara: Black
Face First I exfoliated using the Aapri pads. Then used by brilliant new moisturiser. Even if you can’t exfoliate before applying makeup, always moisturise. You should do this anyway as part of a daily routine to keep your skin healthy and vibrant. Next I applied my foundation primer and my foundation and powder.
Eyes I began by applying my primer. Then using an eye shadow brush, I applied the colour “Sin” to the entire lid, extending the colour upwards towards the brow bone, and on the lower lid. Apply quite a lot of this, you want a good base for what goes on top. Next you define your eyebrows. First brush the out and fill in your eye brows. Don’t make them too dark and don’t stray outside the natural line. You want a clean, defined, edgy look to this.
Next we need to apply the rest of the shadows. Start with the colour “Smog” or any dark brown colour. Apply this on the top lid only and blend in with the base colour. Make sure it really stands out. Make sure to stay on the eye lid. Try not to extend the colour too much. Next apply a black eye shadow to the outer half of your top eye lid. Don’t make the lines too harsh. If you have it’s easily smudged. Next apply the last eye shadow which is white. Apply this directly under your eye brow and on top of the black you just applied. This will make the black become a dark grey which is the desired colour.
The next step is the eye liner. Apply this all around your eye including your waterline. Apply it as close to the lash line as you can possibly go. If you make a mistake go over the eye liner with a regular brown colour and start again. The last step with the shadows is to apply a separate brown underneath your eye and in-between the white and the brown shadow which is already present. Apply your mascara and you’re done with the look!
Hope you enjoyed it!

Face I began by exfoliating and moisturising. Then I applied my foundation primer, my foundation and my powder.
Eyes First I applied my primer. Then I applied a warm brown to my eyelid, extending the colour upwards, and on the lower lid. Then using my eye brow pencil I brushed out my eye brows and filled the contours of my brows. Next I applied a cream colour to my brow bone and on the inner corner of my eye to highlight.
Next I applied my eyeliner. I applied this in the waterline and as close to the lash line as possible on the eye lid. I applied the eye liner over my entire eye, paying particular attention to the bottom lid. Next I applied the same brown I used earlier over the liner on my upper lid only to dampen the harshness. Then I applied my lip gloss and mascara and the look was complete!
That's an amazing description of how to apply make up so you can get that look from K's photoshoot. Amazing. With that said, I hope people see how much goes into applying make up for a professional photoshoot. I do photography myself and I know the preparations are immense. K Stew isn't a good example for this but, most women do NOT look this nice without massive amounts of make up, professional lighting and a $20K camera. (on top of photoshop) Kstew is lucky she can strut her sexy stuff without make up and still look damn good.
